The kits come with most of the needed aluminum panels precut
and bent to fit. However, most of them require some massaging
to get a good fit. Spend the time to trial fit adjoining panels
before drilling and riveting in place. There will still be
some gaps that require filling. For this, foam weatherstripping
works well. For sealing the joints in panels, silver silicone
works well since it blends in with the aluminum color.
These pics show the radiator baffling in place. We have
added a piece at the top to seal from the top of the radiator
to the body. Without this a lot of the air coming in the front
goes over the radiator, decreasing it's effectiveness. The
side and bottom pieces come in the kit.
The driver side footbox went together without much trouble,
even with the added front support tube.
The passenger side footbox required some work to fit around
the front support tube we added.
The panels under the doors and in rear corners of the interior
required a lot of work to fit around the cage.
The trunk side panels fit without modification. The rear
splash panels as well as the front splash panels require fitting
with the body on.

Spec Racers, and anyone that simply has an interest.
The
site will not be updated further as I have sold this car in early
2003 before the start of the race season.
